Zahir Jamal exits in 10th place
Ryan Eber's pocket Jacks beat out Tanzania's Zahir Jamal's 10 Q on a board of 8 8 3 10 3. Zahir wins $2,000 for his 10th position.
Zahir is the owner of the Palm Beach Casino in Tanzania and said that he really enjoyed this tournament, his second Rumble in the Jungle. He has been playing for just under a year, as is the case with many of the Tanzanian players. Poker is relatively new in this market, but there has been a significant growth, Zahir saying that there is a 15% growth monthly in this market. He anticipates that the growth in this tournament will come from the international market, with players already from Sweden, UK and Nairobi already featuring.
His advice to other players, “I've played with some of the best in Africa, and I know that you don't have to be afraid of them, you must just play with your gut feel and you will do well.”
