WSOP DAY 1B, and another 1,000 odd hopefuls depart the arena.
It was a 14 hour day for players who survived Day 1B of the World Series of Poker, which saw 1,545 players reduced to just under 500 players.
Team All Africa Poker didn’t have any players taking part, but it certainly was interesting to watch the play. Those remaining include Joe Hachem, Scotty Nguyen, Tom McEvoy, Berry Johnston and Dan Harrington, who all made it through to Day Two, with Nguyen and Johnston just outside the top ten in chips, not far off the lead held by Dag Martin Mikkelsen. Other survivors were Matt Matros, David 'The Dragon' Pham, John Duthie and Tony G.
Top players who were eliminated from the action on Day 1B include Erik Seidel (8 time WSOP bracelet winner), Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer, Annie Duke, Isabelle Mercier, Kathy Liebert.
