Women and Poker
Like most sports poker is male dominated and the All Africa Poker Tournament is no exception. Take one look around the poker room and there is a sea of male faces, young and old. It’s been said that woman are smarter than men so they definitely have the ability to take men on at the tables. Melanie Banfield is an example of a successful poker player – she may be small and petite but she’s definitely fierce and unafraid to take on the toughest competitors.
