What a hand!
Louis de lira flopped a set of threes, Nick Katsapas flopped a set of Queens and Eugene du Plessis flopped the second nut flush (Ks 7s) on a 3s Qs 5s!
After much confusion, with pretty much everyone acting out of turn, the board did not pair and the river Ace of spades gave du Plessis the stone cold nuts. He knocked out de Lira in 22nd position and has left Katsapas shooting blanks and probably lamenting allowing Eugene into the hand with a smooth call on the button pre-flop with those not so lucky ladies…
The pot was nearly 150,000 making du Plessis a strong contender for the final table.
