What’s happening at the Aussie Millions?
With all the action unfolding at this year’s Aussie Millions, it is safe to say that the Main Event is definitively not the main attraction. Event 1 proved to be a record breaker, with a staggering 1,143 entries culminating into a $1,143,000 AUD prize pool…Making it the biggest player field ever hosted in a major tournament in Australia’s history.
Matthew Ephraums emerged as the winner, claiming glory and a $200,025 AUD sized first prize. The $550 AUD buy-in Event 2 passed smoothly, with Andrew Hinrichsen as the newest Aussie Millions winner. The player field totalled 90 players and the grand prize equalled $12,825 AUD.
The $1,100 AUD buy-in Limit Hold’Em Event 3 is still playing towards its final stages. Less than 40 players are still in the running and pro David Steicke is was last reported having the chip lead. Main Event action kicks of this Saturday, stay tuned for more updates on this year’s Aussie Millions.
