Congratulations to the boisterous Nik Zakhem on his victory. His win with Q Q will be remembered but not as well as the many times that he had J J. Even more remarkable is that the Jacks held up every single time and eliminated players with an unprecedented consistency.
His cry of “they come in bunches,” referring to the great run of cards and very specifically his Jacks will go down in All Africa history along with his predecessors “Shot Boy.”
The final table was made easy for him by a great run of cards and by the fact that the aggressive Warren Zackey seemed to lose all fight. Only two flops were seen with possibly too many pre-flop folds from Zackey.
Nik Zakhem will go to sleep tonight R1 million richer and with dreams of Las Vegas and winning the WSOP.
