The worst bad beat!

The unluckiest bubble
On the TV table Eugene du Plessis limped for 30k. The big blind, Michael Nwabueze made it another 50k to go. After requesting a count, du Plessis pushed all-in and was insta-called. Du Plessis showed A K offsuit whilst Nwabueze turned over A A.
Flop: K 2 2
Turn: 6
River: K
Du Plessis makes a full house to crack the aces and knock out Michael Nwabueze in 11th position!
This will go down as the worst bad beat of the tournament not only because of the particularly long odds but also because Nwabueze will leave with nothing after playing three days of solid poker and playing the final hand as best as possible. Very, very unlucky sir.

Congratulations to Toptop for winning the November 2010 All Africa poker tournament. We played together both on the second day and on the final day of the tournament and I must say he had me on two or three occasions with a ‘’flush’’. It was my first All Africa poker tournament. Unfortunately, I came 11th, one spot before the final table which made me the burble boy of the tournament but most importantly was the experience I garnered which convinced me that I could play poker professionally.
Come the next tournament, boys, you better watch out for the Octopus.
Michael ‘’the Octopus’ Nwabueze.
