The first victim
It has taken over three hours to lose the first player! Friends and family of Duan Maritz will no doubt use this opportunity to rag him but his last two hands are Bad Beats of some calibre.
His second last hand saw his pocket Kings decimated by the 8 3 offsuit of Gareth Kalil which miraculously turned into a straight on the river! His last hand, which should have been sweet revenge over Kalil, saw Maritz’s AK beaten on the river when the Jack appeared to match Kalil’s J 4 off suit! Commiserations Duan.
Scott Andrew finished soon after and may just have been hanging to not be the first player eliminated.
