The afternoon session delayed
The players will be filtering back into the poker room for a few more hours of poker in the next few minutes. Some kind of technical fault has apparently damaged the air conditioning. I think it just couldn’t cope with Lee Ann Liebenberg in the room…
Anyway…
The average stack is about 42,000 chips with only thirty players above that mark. With the blinds at 500/1000 and antes of 100 the short stacks are going to have to make their move pretty soon. With twenty players having less than 10 rounds of at their disposal, the action should be quite intense until the dinner break.
Robert Kay, Jarred Solomon and Lino Pestana are all looking very healthy but lurking not far behind is the most famous South African poker player and past champion, Ray Rahme.
Ryan Brauer, Andre Johnstone and Darren Kramer are all poised around the average stack and cannot be counted out at all.
Past champions that despite their short stacks are not to be discounted either are Ryan Eber, Evern van Niekerk and Chris Convery.
The afternoon sessions promises to be an interesting one. And a hot one…
