Team All Africa Poker hopefuls out of WSOP
Today was the day. Day 1A of the World Series of Poker US$10,000 Main Event, the focus of the entire poker world. Play on “Day 1″ spans four calendar days, and Day 2 will follow immediately and take place over two flight days. The first time all players left in the field will play together will be on Thursday, July 12th, what is technically “Day 3″ but in reality the 7th day of play.
Ryan Brauer, Ryan Eber & Neville Eber took their seats within a smaller than expected group of 1,287 players. By close of play at 03.55am, some of the top names in poker were not amongst the approximately 450 players remaining. These include our Southern African team, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, and a few celebrity faces like Ray Romano & Brad Garrett.
