Past champion, Nick “Bang Bang” Katsapas is living up to his name. In an action hand that he finally won with his A A after being out flopped by MJ Peters, he (accidentally… and exuberantly) broke everything on his side table. He wins a big pot and gets a fresh drink.

Table three will be remembered as the table that had more re-buys and all-ins than any other in the May 2009 AAPT with Robert Kay and friends making it a minefield for any players with limited re-buys. In this All Africa, table three is proving to be just as volatile, this time at the hands of Gareth Kalil.
In one of the biggest hands of the night (over 50k) Garteh Kalil with10 Q off raised and re-raised Lino Pestana who was holding Fishhooks and Rudolf Fourie who had 6 10 suited in diamonds on a 7c 9d 8d flop. Fourie had the best hand and a freeroll redraw on the flush and straight flush! Gareth however had the mouth and stated “I’m not here to play games but to gamble.” Fourie did not need any of his “get out of jail free” cards as the turn and river were blanks.
