Surrounded by Kramer
As the reigning champion, Darren Kramer has his picture on the poker room wall along with previous winners like Ray Rahme and Ilija Martinovic. As one of the few multiple winners of the All Africa Poker Tournament however he is also adorning the opposite wall! This means that most of the players in the poker room will not be able to look up from their cards without seeing the very stern pictures that serve as a warning of his poker prowess.
The pictures are a far better reflection of how formidable a poker player he is as compared to his affable table image which is often disarming and insidiously deadly.
Nicola Cillie experienced the magic of Kramer up close and personal when she flopped middle set to Kramer’s under-pair. Kramer made his re-raise move and was called and then forced to make a big call on the turn with only a straight draw. He rivered his miracle and Nicola called for a re-buy.
