Stuart Brodie out in 9th position
With his cheque of US$3,750 for 9th position, Stuart Brodie is “pretty happy” with his performance at his first Rumble in the Jungle tournament, where he has gone the deepest in all his live tournament ventures, having played in the Sun City tournament previously. He has been playing for just over two years and plays mostly online in 5/10; 10/20 and 15/30 games.
He found playing at the final table, amongst some of the biggest names in Southern African poker, quite intimidating, but is pleased at the results. Stuart lost out to Oliver Berman's set of 7's against his A 3, with A 3 coming on the flop.
His advice to other players, “Make sure you can afford to gamble when playing in a re-buy tournament – there are many players with a lot of money in these tournies.” Stuart only took one re-buy and one add-on.
