Set… over set… over set!
Jaime Vilela had pocket threes, Louis de Lira pocket sixes and Johannes Hoffman pocket Queens. After some pre-flop jockeying, Vilela had the good sense to dispense with his paltry pair (maybe that’s why he is chip leader?) with de Lira and Hoffman going to the flop. The insanely unlikely flop was 3 6 Q! Hoffman was short stacked and doubled up, once again at the expense of de Lira.
On table three, Brauer’s good humour seems to be ebbing away as he gets beaten by Henry Jansen. Both flopped trip sevens, Brauer with a six kicker and Jansen with a four. The river did deliver and the four helped Jansen to double up. In the very next hand, an irate Brauer bled off more chips on a straight draw to Evern van Niekerk set of Kings. His battle continues.
