Seconds out it’s time to Shuffle up and Rumble
The dealers have shuffled up and dealt, and the 74 man field has begun play on Day 1 of the Rumble in the Jungle Africa Poker Series. These players are playing for a gold and diamond bracelet and US$150,000 first prize. The total prize pool will be confirmed after the 3 hour re-buy period.
In a few hours the final re-buy & add-on transactions will take place, and then it’s down to the real business of knock out poker. The boxing theme has been carried throughout the tournament with the tournament director kitted out in his referee attire and certainly looking the part with cigar in hand.
The hour long blinds are progressing at a steady pace and the words “all-in” can be heard regularly around the tournament room, where some aggressive and relatively loose play is being observed.
