Ray Rahme through to Day 2, WSOP 2007
Ray Rahme made it through Day 1A with 74,000 chips at close of play. He is one of 450 odd players going through to Day 2 of the World Series of Poker US$10,000 Main Event from this first day of play.
It was a tough day at the office for the boys, and no less so for Ray, but he was able to grind his way back and keep his WSOP hopes alive. Darren Kramer plays on Monday in Day 1D.
Also seen at the WSOP Day 1A was a fair number of celebrities, with Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man), Brad Garrett ('Til Death, Ratatouille) and Ray Romano (“Everybody Loves Raymond”). A side bet between Romano & Garrett, netted Garrett all the money he's going to see in the Main Event, when Romano was eliminated shortly after midnight, resulting in a win for Garrett in their $2,000 last-longer bet.
Garrett will however donate his winnings to the Maximum Hope Foundation for families with terminally ill children.
