Ray Rahme continues to impress at WSOP Main Event
After a long and gruelling Day 5 at the WSOP Main Event, Southern Africa's own Ray Rahme, has successfully run the gauntlet once again. Ray, who had an up and down day, managed to get his chip stack up to 4,6 million, before losing a few big pots to David Tran, who is currently the chip leader on just over 10 million chips.
There are currently 36 players remaining, and the guaranteed prize money for 36th place is US$285,000. Play on Day 6, which is traditionally one of the longest days in the WSOP Main Event, starts on Sunday 15th July at 12pm Las Vegas time, and will play down to the Final 9 players.
Although Ray was exhausted at close of play at just after 2am, he was in good spirits and looking forward to facing the challenge of making his way to the Final Table.
The winner of the 1998 WSOP Main Event Scotty Nguyen is amongst the 36 bracelet hopefuls, along with Bill Edler, Daniel Alaei and Lee Watkinson.
