Quads everywhere
The official arrivals for the 21st All Africa poker Tournament are 111. With the two eliminations we are therefore at 109 players with 45 minutes of play remaining. Darin Reilly went out on Nelson and Nicola Cillie in 110th position.
Neil Andrews may have a chance to get to tomorrow if his form continues improving. In a large multi-way pot he flopped a set of eights to top pair/top kicker and a nut flush draw. He managed to dodge many outs and even rivered the case eight for the first four of a kind of the night.
On the next table Daniel Lamberti flopped top set on a 3 4 7 board. The turn filled his boat when another 4 appeared but he couldn’t shake Frano Lottering off the hand. The river was another four and Lamberti showed his absolute disgust before the cards were even turned over. He had read Frano correctly for the last four. Lottering turned over 4 2 for the second four of a kind in a matter of minutes!
