Poker royalty to be hosted at 2009 Aussie Millions
A host of formidable poker legends and world famous celebrities are arriving at the Crowne Casino in Melbourne, Australia to participate in the 2009 Aussie Millions Celebrity & Media Challenge. This is set to take place tomorrow, the 15th of January 2009.
Ready to illustrate their poker prowess for a good cause are poker pro’s such as Joe Hachem, Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and defending Aussie Millions Champion Alexander Kostritsyn. There will also be a number of well-known musicians and actors, such as Irish singer Brian McFadden, Hollywood star Michael Vartan, host of MTV Ruby Rose and so on. In addition, several sport stars are expected to sit down and enrol for some sports of a different kind. These include the likes of tennis players Tommy Haas and Andy Roddick, as well as surfer Sunny Abberton.
To accommodate those who are new to the game of poker, there will first be a crash course on how to play, after which the official proceedings will kick off at 16h00. To find out which of these celebs walk away with the honours, keep your eye on this spot.
