Martie Faber, the last lady in the tournament, has pretty much been blinded out. She was forced to go all in from the small blind with an unsuited 8 2 and was called by the big blind for a mere 1500 chips with a dominating 7 8! The seven came on the flop and Martie is walking dejectedly out of the room. She is out in 21st position.
On the next table Marco Farrell was looking sure to lose a large chunk of his stack when he got involved in an all-in situation with A J to Christoffel Coetzee’s A K. The flop was 7 9 10, giving Farrell an extra draw. The turn brought the J to dash Coetzee’s hopes but the river produced an eight to give them both straights and a split pot!
Kinesh Pather is also out in 20th position.
