J J failed Martie Faber but in a very unusual way. In her very staid and tight manner Martie waited and got her money in with a premium hand. Derek Hodson had A Q suited and a big stack so he called. The flop looked good showing K 2 5, the turn allowed four more outs with a 3 and the river dashed Martie’s hopes when the 4 appeared.
The hapless Martie Faber did not realise immediately that she had lost and was almost breathing a sigh of relief when the chips where pushed across the table from her. She is out in 35th place and with her goes the hope of a lady champion.
