Media Charity Poker & “Ante Up for Africa”
Neil Andrews of Super Saturday, Wendy Graaf and Michael Collet will make up the All Africa Poker Media team to represent All Africa Poker, proudly sponsored by Piggs Peak Casino, to play in the 10am Media Charity Poker Tournament, followed by the much anticipated press conference with Oscar-nominated actor and Oceans 13 star Don Cheadle & Ladies Poker professional, Annie Duke.
Cheadle & Duke have joined forces with the WSOP and Rio All-Suite Hotel to establish the first ever, star studded event to aid survivors of the humanitarian crisis in Dafur, Sudan.
Cheadle will be giving us an insight into why he is hosting the event and why additional celebrities, such as Ben Affleck, Mekhi Pfifer, Charles Barkley, Matt Damon, Ray Romano, Adam Sandler and Martin Sheen have agreed to play in this tournament.
In addition, poker professionals, Doyle Brunson, Joe Hachem, Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Tilly and Robert Williamson III, and 2006 WSOP Champion, Jamie Gold, will be joining this celebrity line up on the red carpet at 3.30pm as they make their way to the tables, which will be filmed by the All Africa Poker film crew, highlights of which will be featured on All Africa Poker Channel, DSTV 121 in August this year.
More WSOP Super Satellites are running today, but mostly Team All Africa Poker members will be resting up in anticipation of Day 1 of the Main Event on Friday.
