Kalil and the Bullets
Gareth Kalil started his quest for a second title inauspiciously when his top pair of nines with an Ace kicker walked into pocket rockets and he was forced to re-buy. A few hands later the inevitable AA vs KK came about but this time Gareth had the better cards and they held up against Dean Goldbaum.
I the first 45 minutes of play there have been at least forty all-ins, which is not unusual during the first few blind levels as the players try to build their stacks with the reassurance of the possibility of re-buys.
George Petrakis and Sal Codron have called to say that they are unable to make it to the tournament and so their chips have been declared dead and removed from play.
