Jaw dropping prize money up for grabs at glamorous EPT Events
Hungarian player Dragan Galic has just claimed the title at the European Poker Tour San Remo Main Event, collecting a handsome first prize of €1,508,000! To achieve this, he had to outlast a gruelling five days of poker and outsmart 1,177 poker players from around the world. It has been just over 2 years since Dragan Galic has become a regular face at the final tables of major poker events. Ever since then, Galic has cashed in consistently, but this victory no doubt had to be his biggest pay check to date…
With the conclusion of this EPT Event, Europe is preparing for another one of the grandest poker events, the European Poker Tour Season 5 Grand Final, which commenced today in the glamorous Monte Carlo. Expected to attract some of the biggest guns on the international poker scene, this year’s event is estimated to have a jaw dropping total prize pool in excess of €12,000,000!
Proving that anything can happen in a game of poker, last year the Main Prize of €2,020,000 was claimed by the then very young 22-year old Canadian Glen Chorny, who managed to not only outplay the forerunner of the EPT Player of the Year Luca Pagano, but also a host of some of the best poker pro’s around.
