In the lunch queue with Ryan Brauer
We bumped into everyone’s favourite poker player, Ryan Brauer in the Friday lunch queue, so we used the opportunity to chat a bit about his play to date. “Its been a good few days. I had a good re-buy period, only having to re-buy once. Had a bit of a shaky start to the day though, with a couple of bad beats and a couple of moves. But my attitude has been right – just trying to keep my attention on the cards and off the rugby. The table has been decent too, with a number of guys there who have done it all before.”
Brauer plans to keep it tight and accumulate chips, as is his game, so the odds are high that we will see him in the final table. “To contend at the final table you will need a chip stack of around 750,000 I reckon, but for me to make it there depends on what cards I get. I just want to play hand by hand and make the right decisions, and try avoid losing big pots with some low risk poker.”
