How Tight is the Play?
There are loud vocalisations from some of the veteran players that this is the tightest All Africa to date. The action on many of the tables however contradicts this observation.
In a dream hand with three all-ins, Brian Welman was left smiling when his pocket Queens managed to outdraw the pocket Kings of Kenneth Heyns on the flop and dodge the inside straight draw of the ultra-loose Gareth Kalil on the river.
On the same table, Bilal El Saadi, instead of doubling up was left stumped when his 5 5 held up all the way to the dreaded river and Neville Eber paired his Queen. Re-buy, with a shake of the head.
Keegan Naidoo managed to lose his stack on a busted flush draw with his suited connectors when the A K of Martin Zoeller paired on the flop.
