Hellmuth settles for third runner up place in the 2011 World Series of Poker.
Event #55, The Poker Player’s Championship saw Phil Hellmuth go heads up against Brian Rast for the title, bracelet and the winners cheque.
The final hand went down as follows:
Hellmuth raised to 400,000. Brian Rast called, and the Flop was dealt – JD 9D 10S. Rast bet 500,000, which prompted Hellmuth to moved All in.
Rast held KS and QS whilst Hellmuth had 8D and 2D.
The turn was the 5 of hearts and the River, 8C, sealed Hellmuth’s fate of completed the board, and ended the tournament.
