Good Poker
In a clash of the big stacks, Staurt Reilly and Clive Berman tangled. Berman was looking good with JJ to Reilly’s 99 until the turn made his set. Reilly pushed all in and Berman managed a good fold with no over cards on the board.
In another “crazy” lay down… Six limpers saw a 2 6 8 flop with a total pot size of 15k. Aston Soon Shing made a 7k bet from middle position and was reraised by Chris Convery by another 73k. After an interminable amount of time, Aston showed pocket twos for bottom set and made the lay down! Convery mucked but the consensus was that it was potentially a tournament winning laydown.
Aston said he had worked too hard for those chips. A lesson in the value of tournament chips, perhaps or a terrible laydown?
Daniel Lamberti who had the chip lead for a long time has just been eliminated in 46th position. AK vs AQ is not an enviable scenario and although he had some outs to split, none materialised.
