Having met up with Gavin Smith at the WPT Bootcamp in the Domincan Republic in December 2008, meeting up with him again in Vegas, there were familiar nods and smiles when I got to take his photo at the table, so it only seems fitting that we should report on his exit.
Gavin was all in before the flop with 
against the pocket eights of his opponent.
The flop came 
giving Gavin a heart flush draw and two live overcards. However, when the board filled out 
he failed to improve and was eliminated from the tournament.
