Darren Kramer was presented with a commemorative jacket by All Africa Poker Tournament Director Sandy Koor after his R1 million online win this week. The light blue and black jacket has his nickname emblazoned on the front and the words “online poker millionaire” on the back. Darren is in high spirits after this success and is already chip leader after a big hand earlier in the evening.

Kramer takes down a nice pot

Darren Kramer has taken down a big pot, beating out Neil Andrews and Joel Ettedji in three way action on table 1. Kramer had pocket 3s, against Neil’s A K and Joel’s 4 5. The flop came 2 4 5, putting Joel ahead going into the turn, but an A gave Kramer the win with a straight to take down the sizeable pot. The river was a blank.

The action table looks to be table 2 tonight, with 5 big name players drawing a seat there. Jay Sookoo, Wessel Jacobs, Lolly Jackson, Daniel Lamberti and Ryan Brauer are all facing up against each other in the early stages of the tournament. With re-buys and add-ons due later the play could get pretty hot early on – but all the big names will be looking to see the first day out without too much incident.
