Michael Binger started the Final table as chip leader with a stack of 393,000 followed by Marlon Goonawardne on 322,000 and Kim Pearl in third position with 311,000. Goonawardne eliminated Pearl on the second hand of the day when he raised preflop from the big blind, and called Pearl's reraise from the big blind. Goonawardne checked the flop of AH 10D 6H and Pearl moved all in with AS JC. Goonawardne made the call with QH 3H. Goonawardne hit his flush with the 10H on the turn and to cement his position when the river showed 7H. Pearl was eliminated in eighth place ($11,936). Goonawardne good fortune continued and he went into the Heads Up battle with nearly 1.5 million chips to Michael Binger's 378,000.
Short stacked Binger moved all-in with KD 9H and as was called by Goonawardne who showed AS QH. The board was dealt – 8S 3D 2S 4D 10S making Binger the runner with a prize money of $88,060. Goonawardne took home the trophy and the $155,400 first-place prize money. The cheery on the top was that he also claimed a $1,000 bounty on the head of Binger, the sole bounty player left when the final table started.
