European Poker Tour (EPT) announces Schedule for Season 5
The European Poker Tour has announced the Schedule for Season 5, as well as the next Grande Finale in Monte Carlo, at the beginning of this week. The next season is set to commence with the Barcelona Open at Casino Barcelona, from the 10th to the 14th of September 2008. It will then move over to Victoria Casino for the EPT London, scheduled for 1-5 October 2008. From there, over several months, a number of stops will be made in a variety of countries such as Poland; Denmark; Czech Republic; France; Italy and Germany. The Grand Final will finally take place in Monte Carlo, from the 28th of April to the 3rd of May 2009.
The official schedule for the EPT Season 5, is as follows:

London (Victoria Casino) – October 1-5, 2008 – £5,200
Polish Open (Hyatt Regency, Warsaw) – November 15-19, 2008 – 20,000 PLN
Prague (Hilton Hotel) – December 9-13, 2008 – €5,000
Deauville (Barrière Casino) – January 20-24, 2009 – €5,000
Scandinavian Open (Casino Copenhagen) – February 17-21, 2009 – 50,000 DKR
German Open (Casino Hohensyburg) – March 10 – 14, 2009 – €5,000
San Remo (San Remo) – April 18-23, 2009 – €5,000
Grand Final (Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort) – April 28 – May 3, 2009 – €10,000
Most recent All Africa Poker Tournament winner and local poker legend Ray Rahme, played at the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo earlier this year, and managed to finish quite deep in the tournament. Considering the performance of our local players’ at international poker events lately, we expect to see many more of them participating in the next season.
