DAY 1 D Brings WSOP 2008 Entries to 6,844
Ryan Brauer, Darren Kramer, Ryan Dreyer, Andre Johnstone and Joe Rahme were in the final numbers of players who ante'd up for Day 1D and completed the total 6,844 total number of players registered for this year’s World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event Texas Holdem event. The conditions were less than favourable for many of them, as the tournament organisers shoe horned the players into various nooks and crannies around the Rio Hotel, this to ensure that a 5th day one wasn’t required. At first break this afternoon, Darren Kramer was looking strongest with just over 40,000 chips in front of him. All the other players were experiencing tight players on their tables and had chip stacks varying between 12,500 and 25,000. It’s still early days for these hopefuls and we hope to be reporting on their successes later.
