Cyril Jassinowsky finishes at final table of 2008 WSOP Event
3 Piggs Poker player Cyril Jassinowsky, aka Cy Jassinowsky, outplayed hundreds of professionals from all over the world to finish in eighth place at 2008 WSOP Event #30, the $10,000 Limit Hold’em World Championship in Vegas yesterday winning himself $66,599. This is the 9th time Cyril has cashed at WSOP.
Seated at the final table with Cyril, were some big guns on the poker scene, such as Andy Bloch, J.C.Tran and Aaron Katz. The seating arrangements and chip count going into the final stages of the tournament, was as follows:

It was in Hand #64 only, that Cy was finally busted. Andy Bloch led out from the button, with Rob Hollink bumping it to three bests from the small blind. It was up to Tommy Hang then to continue the action, who decided to make it four bets. Cy made that call, going all in from his already short stack of R40,000. Bloch folded, but Rob called.
The flop showed . Rob Hollink checked and Tommy led out. It was then what Rob bowed out. Tommy flipped a pair of ladies and Cy showed . The turn brought a and the board rivered the . Cy was knocked out in an excellent 8th place and cashed in a handsome amount of over half a million Rand.
Jassinowsky illustrated brilliant play throughout and showed that he definitely has what it takes to hold it up around the final tables of this “poker event of poker events”.
