Ray Rahme was knocked out by Craig Perkel when his pocket Queens were beaten by Craig’s set of 7′s. On exit his words were “that tv table is my nemisis!”. Ray says he always has a rough ride on the feature table. We don’t think it’s done him too bad, considering his previous 4th place finish in June 2007.
There are 105 players left in the tournament after the exits of Andrea Cornelli, Gary Lentin, Durand Botha, Jay Sookoo, Andre Steenkamp and Ari Ben David. The blinds are currently 100/200 and average chip stack 37,355..
The first player out of the All Africa Poker Freeze Out tournie is Lolly Jackson, representing Teasers. We’re not sure if he was told this was a freeze out, but he went all in with A 9 suited clubs on a flop of A 9 3 and the pocket Aces of Demos Kombos knocked him out. Hard luck Lolly, hope to see you back in February.
There’s much activity in preparation for the All Africa Poker tournament being held at Piggs Peak Hotel & Casino in Swaziland this weekend.
The tournament has been over subscribed, with 104 players making up the field. There are only seats left for players who share accomodation. The camera crew are busy rigging the television feature table, the poker tables are in position, and all that is needed are the dealers, tournament director and most importantly, our players.
Bookmark this page, and follow the action from Friday, as we keep you updated on all the exits and the winners.
