Brauer mops up at the Bellagio …
Ryan Brauer started in third position on the table at start of play today of the Bellagio Cup III Event # 23, after 9th and 10th were knocked out in a relatively short time.
He then proceeded to knock out six of the last eight players to claim the US$153,000 first prize which includes a seat to the World Poker Tour Season Finale, which is a $25,000 buy-in event in April 2008.
Brauer said, “The final table was a dream, I picked up hands at the right time and when I got to heads up, I had a 6 to 1 chip lead, and it was just a matter of time to whittle my opponent down to claim the amazing $4,000 Gold Bracelet and prize money.”
This dramatic end was witnessed by many Southern African supporters, and was filmed for the All Africa Poker Channel, DSTV 121, which will be aired in August this year.
