Aussie Millions, Event #7, $3,000 PLO w/ Rebuys: Watkinson Debuts with Win
Stars such Steve Zolotow, Andy Black, Lee Watkinson and Mike Sexton all took their seats at Event #7 of the Aussie Millions, $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha with rebuys. Notable entrants who made their way to the rail after the rebuy period ended were Jeff Lisandro, Josh 'JJProdigy' Field, Kevin 'BeLOWaBOVe' Saul and Tony G. By the end of the rebuy/add-on period, the total prize pool was a substantial $516,000. The final table chip stacks and seating assignments were as follows:

Watkinson and Dwan outlasted and outplayed their opponents to make it to the Heads Up battle. It took less than 15 minutes for all the chips to get into the middle of the table and a winner to be crowned. Watkinson raised preflop and Dwan re-raised. Watkinson called and the flop came down KC 10H 8H. Dwan reraised all in. Watkinson called and tabled 9C QC JD KD for the wrap (several straight draws), and Dwan revealed 10C KS JS KH for a set of kings. With the 4C on the turn gave Watkinson had flush draw to go with his straight draws, and the 5C gave him the runner-runner flush to take down the pot and eliminate Dwan in second place ($103,200). This is Watkinson’s first 2008 Aussie Millions event title and he collecting the winner's prize of $180,600.
