Aussie Millions attracts big names….
The Aussie Millions Poker Championship attracts not only the top international poker players such as last year’s winner Gus Hansen, who banked a whopping $1,500,000. But also Hollywood’s rich and famous with such stars as Shannon Elizabeth and Jennifer Till. Michael Vartan has geared up to play in this year’s Aussie Millions Poker Championship. Best known to some as agent Michael Vaughn in the television series Alias, Vartan said “I guess I'm what you call a very tight player, I wait for a good hand and play very aggressively”. Another player you maybe familiar with is our very own poker star from South Africa, Ray Rahme. Rahme burst onto the International poker scene when he placed 3rd at the WSOP 2007. Since then he has been jet setting around the world playing in all the top poker tournaments. Let’s hope Ray has the same good run at the 2008 Aussie Millions Poker Championship as he did at last year’s WSOP. Previous poker stars that have attended the tournament and will probably take their seat at this year’s event are fellow Australian’s Joe ‘Hash’ Hachem and Tong G.
