Aussie Million 2008 – Update
The 2008 Aussie Millions Main Event was filled with 780 players, generating an AUD$7,8 Million prize pool. This places the Aussie Millions fourth in player numbers outside the World Series of Poker and eighth in prize money.
Day 1c saw 270 players pit their poker skills against each other. Amongst these players were a number of poker stars such as Anna Wroblewski, Annette Obrestad, Howard Lederer, Chip Jett, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow as well as Aussie cricket legend Shane Warne, Michael Vartan of “Alias” fame, tennis ace Mark Philippoussis and footballer Brendon Fevola.
Day 2 begins today with the remaining 338 players – they will be playing 6 blind levels.

Joe Hachem – Winner WSOP 2005 Main Event and 2006 WPT Five-Diamond Classic
Phil Ivey – Winner of 5 WSOP Bracelets and considered the greatest player of his generation
Phil Laak – 2004 WPT Invitational
Shane Warne – Australian Cricket champion
Eric Seidel – 8 WSOP Bracelets and the only player to win WSOP bracelets in 3 consecutive years
