After Dinner Break … Day 1A WSOP Main Event
The dinner break on Day 1A, sees Kyri Patsalos and Raymond Rahme very strong, both with 64,000. Jaco Storm - 55,000, Ryan Price has 42,000, Nic Sissou – 40,000, Ryan Dreyer – 31,675 and Lino Pestana – 26,000. The team is looking comfortable and there was much excited discussion about Kyri’s come back from only 15,000 chips earlier in the day.
Kyri tells his story … “I’m in the big blind with Q J suited Clubs. Blinds are 100/200 and everyone folds to the small blind. The button raises to 600, small blind just calls. I call the 600. 6C 9C 10C comes on the flop and I hit my flush. The small blind checks, I check. The button bets to 1200, small blind flat calls 1200. I re-raise 1200 + 3000. Button thinks and thinks then calls. Small blind says, “What the hell, I’m all in for another 9000”. I ship the lot, 15000 is all I have. Button thinks and thinks, then calls. Small blind shows AC 3C, nut flush. I’ve got QJ Clubs- up and down straight flush draw, button has a set of 10’s. Turn is a 6, button makes a full house and I’m screaming for an 8 or a K. The river comes KC and takes me up to 64,000 with a 2 outer.”
