AAPT Commentator takes down Emerald Poker Series
All Africa Poker Tournament Commentator, Ryan Brauer, outsmarted 93 players to claim the title at the Emerald Poker Series, Emerald Casino, South Africa. For his achievement, Ryan collected R320,000 as well as a 2009 World Series of Poker Package to the value of R150,000!
The final table comprised some of the most experienced players on the local poker scene, who have also fared exceptionally well at former All Africa Poker Tournaments. This includes the likes of Dave Spangenberg, Dermot Sweeney, Andrea Cornelly, Chris Convery and Kyri Patsalos. The remaining two top players were Michael Gossayn and Richard Shainfield.
And what does Ryan, aka “FBT”, have to say about this magnificent feat? “I think I should only be playing poker in odd-numbered years!” This comment no doubt originates from Ryan’s brilliant poker performances in 2007. During this particular year, Ryan caught the eye of the world by winning the highly esteemed Bellagio Cup in Las Vegas, as well as the Sun City Heads Up Tournament within a period of several weeks.
