6 Days and counting to start of Team All Africa Poker WSOP Tour
6 more sleeps and then the real business of Team All Africa Poker begins. On Monday 30th June, the majority of the 27 man (and one lady!) team head off to Las Vegas, on Virgin Atlantic Airlines, via London. The organization of this tour has been phenomenal, and huge thanks go to Victoria Webb for so ably putting it all together.
From the previous post, you can see who Team All Africa Poker is comprised of, and along with Sandy Koor, All Africa Poker Tournament Director and Piggs Peak Poker Manager, we get to host 23 of our finest players, along with the legendary Ray Rahme, who could forget his awesome R21 Million win by coming 3rd at last year’s WSOP?. I know, I know – you’re volunteering to carry my luggage! But while I can’t sneak you into my bags, (that 32kg restriction just doesn’t make it easy!), you can be with the team and me, in spirit, as I journal our adventures and travels to the richest poker tournament in the world.
Sandy is already in Las Vegas, and hopefully by the time we arrive, will have made his mark on the tournament front. I’ll be travelling with our effervescent anchor, Super Sport’s Neil Andrews, and our very own cameraman/producer/director extraordinaire & Starbucks connoisseur, Michael Collet. We will be writing daily, plus posting some photographs on this blog and we’d love to hear your comments, and maybe you would like to send some wishes to the team.
