Stanley Topol has won the 22nd All Africa Poker Tournament with pocket Aces!

Congratulations to the worthy Champion who joins an illustrious list of winners. Topol will be the envy of the poker community with his excellent win and R500,000.

Eugene du Plessis finished in 2nd place and won R300,000 for his almost perfect performance.

A big thank you to all the players who helped to make this another hugely successful event.

Eugene as has become standard raises his button to 130k. Stan reraises to 320k which prompts Eugene to move all-in. Stan makes the call instantly and turns over ACES. Eugene shows 4 4.

Hand 69: Topol raises his button and meets no resistance.

Hand 70: du Plessis raises his button and wins

Hand 71: Topol completes but du Plessis raises. Topol makes the call and we see our second heads-up flop.

Flop: 7 A K – no bets

Turn: A – Topol bets and takes it down

Hand 72: du Plessis makes it 130k but Topol reriases to 310k and ends the hand.

Hand 66: du Plessis raises his button and wins

Hand 67: Topol once again raises his button but this time Eugene makes the call and we have our first heads-up flop.

Flop: Ah 6 7c – all check

Turn: 3h – all check

River: As – Eugene bets 170k and Topol makes the call. Eugene shows Qh 10h and Topol mucks.

Hand 68: Eugene raises his button but Topol reraises ending the hand.

Hand 60:

du Plessis folds his button and Kemp takes the opportunity to make a minimum raise. Topol reraises out of the BB and Kemp makes the call.

Flop: 10 9 9 – Kemp moves All-in and Topol inst-calls

Kemp shows tens up with an eight kicker and Topol trip nines with a Queen!

Turn: 2

River: K

Johan Kemp finishes in 3rd place at the November 2010 All Africa Poker Tournament winning R200,000. Well played Johan.

Hand 59: du Plessis raises from the SB and takes Kemp’s BB.

The bigger stacks do the pushing

Hand 53: du Plessis adds 60k to his SB and Kemp completes the 40k from the BB.

Flop: K 10 3 – du Plessis bets out with 200k in his usual measured manner and Kemp lets go.

Hand 54: Our first family pot of the night. With all three players in the hand we see a flop of K 10 3. Du Plessis bets out and ends the hand.

Hand 55: SB Kemp raises by 80k and BB Topol go calls to see the flop.

Flop: Q 3 9 – Kemp bets out with 100k. Topol thinks for a moment and then makes it 220k. Kemp lets go.

Hand 56: Topol raises and takes it down.

du Plessis comes alive

Hand 49: du Plessis makes a raise from the button and is called by BB Topol.

Flop: K 7 A – After a check from Tiopol, du Plessis makes a continuation bet and it’s a winner.

Hand 50: du Plessis raises again but this time gets no action

Hand 51: The third raise in a row from du Plessis is met with a reraise from Kemp who seems to be quite adept at picking his spots. Du Plessis however seems to have picked up a hand as moves all-in. Kemp thinks for a while before finally making the call and revealing 7 7. Du Plessis was his usual businesslike self as he showed K K.

Flop: 5 2 10

Turn: 5

River: 8

Du Plessis doubles up.

Hand 52: du Plessis is on a roll and he raises once again. Kemp still smarting from the last hand reraises and du Plessis lets go.

A 10 minute break and then the action continues.
