Former Aussie Millions Champion Returns

It has been confirmed that Gus Hansen will be returning to the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, to compete in the 2009 Aussie Millions Poker Tournament. For those of you that don’t know, Gus Hansen won this tournament in 2007 and walked away with an impressive one million dollars! Afterwards he wrote a book about his experience. Perhaps he will win again and we can look forward to reading another awesome Gus Hansen book… every hand revealed?

Official 2009 Aussie Millions Schedule announced

The official schedule for the 2009 Aussie Millions has now been announced. This coveted poker tournament series will kick of on the 4th of January 2009 and continue until the 26th. The first 5 days will comprise of a number of “non-championship” and satellites through which prospective players can qualify for the Main Event. The first official event of the 2009 Aussie Millions will therefore kick only off on the 9th of January 2009. The series consists of a total of 18 official events and will culminate in the AUD $10,500 Buy-In Main Event, which is set to commence on the 19th of January 2009. Team All Africa Poker will be heading down under in January to flex their poker muscle for that mouth-watering guaranteed first prize of AUD$2 Million at the Main Event.

11 times WSOP Bracelet Winner Phil Hellmuth, aka “The Poker Brat”, has launched his own clothing line featuring the type of poker apparel we have been seeing him wear at the poker tables over the last few years. It is no secret that Hellmuth is probably one of the most unpopular poker players on earth, due to his annoying table talk and comments on fellow players. However, he seems to have a solid fan base. “I have had thousands of people ask me where they can buy my logoed gear” states Hellmuth. His new poker gear, suitably labelled as “Poker Brat Clothing Co,” includes T-shirts, hoodies as well some of those PH hats that has become his signature and can now be found online.
