The plot thickens

The first movers are out

In an attempt to make the dinner break an enjoyable one and to give themselves a chance to make it through the night, the following players have put their stacks at risk and have been eliminated.

Peter Vandenberg, a veteran of the AAPTs, finishes in 56th place.

Ilhan Diraz, another previous final table player is out in 55th position.

John Chapman ends his run in 54th.

Tony Silva is also out in 53rd

The player who finished in 57th place is MIA and Joe Rahme is still in shock.

The last session before dinner has begun. The remaining players are sensing that they have negotiated a road full of mines and that maybe, just maybe this is their tournament. The atmosphere is a little subdued as fatigue after the long hours and the many decisions is starting to set in.

Aston Soon Shiong finishes his effort in 59th place and Mohammed Buckas in 58th.

Graeme Leathes is out in 64th.

Gary Citron is out in 63rd. His suited AQ had almost no chance after the flop when his opponent flopped a set of nines.

Kerry Clark is the second lady to be eliminated in 62nd position and was pretty much forced to play with her depleted stack.

Suren Naidoo was also eliminated in the same hand with Kerry and finishes 61st

Joe Rahme has his Aces cracked

Joe Rahme was dealt the perfect hand and the unstoppable Ray Rahme was dealt the Ace Magnets (aka KK). Who would not want that scenario? And yet, the river produced one of the two remaining Kings to increase Ray’s stack to over 180,000 and eliminate Joe in 65th place.

Unlucky Joe, that really is a bad beat!

Justin Mason will now be joining his brother Tom as a railbird. Justin’s JJ was destroyed by Big Slick when the Ace came on the flop to leave him without a chip or a chair. Ironically, Justin wears a Big Slick shirt to every All Africa. Maybe its time for a change of wardrobe?

Simon Schonfeldt is the missing player in 72nd spot.

66th position went to Coenie Groenewald.

Greg Slater who was the short stack after lunch will have a few hours by the pool before dinner because he has no chips left. Eliminated in 75th place.

Peter Igo will also be at the pool after his exit in 74th place.
