Since 1997, Australia’s top Poker Tournament has not only grown exponentially attracting some of the best international players but made a considerable amount of very rich winners. 2007 Aussie Millions winner, Gus Hansen, banked a whopping $1,500,000. And lets not forget South Africa’s very own poker star at this event, Ryan Brauer, who placed a solid 30th earning him $40,000. With a prizepool growing at $ 2,430,000 in the short space of 6 years the crown casino’s tournament is home to the largest prizepool played in the southern hemisphere with an impressive attendance of 263 players. Australia and players from other countries alike, therefore eagerly await the commencement of January 2008’s Aussie Millions Tournament. With a variety of No Limit Holdem, Heads Up and the high stakes $100,000 Holdem events (with a guaranteed prizepool of $1 000 000) to keep the players occupied and supplying poker action for the FSN cameras who will be broadcasting the tournament to an international audience.
