2007 Aussie Millions Poker Championship Day Eight
MELBOURNE Australia, January 13, 2007 – The Aussie Millions Poker Championship yesterday was one of the most electrifying to date. The $100,000 No Limit Holdem Invitational Event attracted some of the world’s best and biggest names in poker world including Phil Ivey and a very strong support crowd to match. 18 poker players sat down to battle it out in an exciting game that ended well into this morning.
The offer of the $1.8 Million prize pool with an even $1 Million going to the winner, attracted the largest crowds to date in the Crown Poker Room. By midnight it soon became a ‘carnival like atmosphere’ with Team Full Tilt’s Erick Lindgren and Erik Seidel joined at the table with the unknown Masaaki Kagawa from Japan remaining, Lindgren responded by shouting spectators that were climbing the rails to see a piece of the action Crown Lagers!
Karma must has rewarded Lindgren, known by his online nickname ‘EDOG’ who took the title after a heads up struggle with fellow Full Tilt team member Erick Siedel.
