The top 5 players from the seventh All Africa Poker Tournament hosted at the Orion Piggs Peak Hotel and Casino, Swaziland, in November 2006 will descend upon Melbourne, Australia for the Aussie Millions Poker Championship at Crown Casino in January 2007.
Father and son, Neville and Ryan Eber (current All Africa Poker Tournament Champion) and Young Guns, Wayne Becker, Franz Statthaler and Dermot Sweeney are all set to Ante up the tournament.
The Aussie Millions is firmly entrenched as one of the leading money events on the international poker calendar. The 2007 Main Event is set to attract over 600 players with a prize pool of more than AUD$ 1 Million.
A team of South African players will also be making their way to Melbourne in January 2007, this includes previous All Africa Poker Tournament CHAMPION, Nicholas Katsapas and previous two time All Africa Poker Tournament Winner, Christopher Convery, these poker champions will be vying for a slice of the guaranteed first prize of AUD$1 Million.
Over 2,000 individual entrants will participate in the two week series of the tournament with an estimated 500 international players.
All the exciting action from down under will be filmed and shown on The All Africa Poker Channel, DSTV Channel 121 early in 2007.
